Terms of Service

Effective July 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Screen100 ("Screen100", "we", "us"), including the website at screen100.com, the web application, the API, and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) server (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, screening a name, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

1. The Service

Screen100allows users to screen names of individuals and organizations against publicly available sanctions and watchlist data, including the OFAC Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list, the OFAC Consolidated (Non-SDN) list, and the United Nations Security Council Consolidated list. The Service is offered on a free tier with usage limits and a paid "Pro" subscription tier with expanded limits and additional features, described at screen100.com/pricing.

2. Informational results — not legal or compliance advice

Screening results produced by the Service are informational only. They do not constitute legal advice, compliance advice, or a determination of any individual's or entity's sanctions status. The Service uses automated name-matching against third-party government data sources and may produce false positives or false negatives. You are solely responsible for reviewing any result, exercising independent judgment, and making your own legal, regulatory and business decisions, including whether to consult qualified legal or compliance counsel. Screen100 is a tool that assists a screening process; it is not itself a compliance program and does not replace one.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and API keys, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@screen100.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account or a compromised API key.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly (or otherwise agreed) basis and renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we do not provide partial-period refunds except where required by law. Each plan includes a monthly screen quota that resets at the start of each calendar month; requests beyond that quota receive an explicit quota-exceeded response until the quota resets or the plan is upgraded. Custom volume plans with a higher quota are available on request. We may change our prices with reasonable advance notice; continued use after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any applicable law, sanctions regime, or export control regulation;
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, usage quotas, or authentication controls;
  • Resell or redistribute raw screening results or underlying list data as a standalone data product without our prior written consent;
  • Use automated means to scrape or bulk-extract data from the Service outside the documented API;
  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or make public accusations against a named individual based solely on an unreviewed match result.

6. API and MCP access

API keys and MCP credentials are issued per account and must not be shared across unrelated organizations or resold. We may throttle, suspend, or revoke access that exceeds documented rate limits, appears automated in a way that degrades Service availability for other users, or otherwise violates these Terms.

7. Data sources and accuracy

List data is sourced from official government publications (OFAC and the UN Security Council) and refreshed on a regular cycle disclosed on the Service. We do not control the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of these third-party sources and are not liable for errors or omissions originating from them. Each result cites the source list and the version it was matched against.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its matching engine, software, and design, is owned by Screen100 and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Underlying sanctions list data is public domain government data; our compiled, normalized dataset and the manner in which it is presented are our property.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT SCREENING RESULTS ARE COMPLETE, ACCURATE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR SECURE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCREEN100 WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON ANY SCREENING RESULT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or conduct that risks harm to other users or the Service. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time via account settings or by contacting us.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the Service or by email to account holders. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
