Privacy Policy
Effective July 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Screen100("we", "us") collects when you use screen100.com, the web app, the API, and the MCP server (together, the "Service"), and how we use, store and share it.
1. What we collect
Account information
When you create an account: your email address, a hashed password (or authentication identifier if you sign in via a third-party provider), and, for paid plans, billing details processed by our payment provider — we do not store full card numbers ourselves.
Screened queries and results
When you run a screen — via the web app, API, or MCP server — we store the query (the name and any supporting details you provide, such as date of birth or nationality) and the resulting matches, so that you have a screening history and, on Pro, an audit trail. Anonymous, no-account screens on the public web tool are processed to return a result but are not tied to a personal account.
Usage and technical data
API request logs (endpoint, timestamp, response status, rate-limit counters), basic device/browser information, and aggregated product-usage analytics used to operate, secure and improve the Service.
2. How we use this information
- To provide the screening Service and return results to you;
- To maintain your screening history and, on Pro, generate audit certificates and run ongoing monitoring re-screens;
- To send transactional email — account, billing, and monitoring alerts you've configured;
- To process payments for paid plans via our payment processor;
- To detect abuse, enforce rate limits, and secure the Service;
- To improve match accuracy and product quality using aggregated, de-identified usage patterns.
3. We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your account information or screening history to third parties for their marketing purposes. We do not use the names or subjects you screen to build a public database, a credit product, or any product distinct from the screening Service you signed up for.
4. Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers who help us operate the Service, under contractual confidentiality obligations, including:
- Cloud hosting and database infrastructure providers;
- Our payment processor, for billing on paid plans;
- Email delivery providers, for transactional and alert email;
- Error-monitoring and analytics tooling used to operate the Service reliably.
We may also disclose information where required to comply with a valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Screen100, our users, or the public.
5. Sanctions list data
The underlying sanctions and watchlist data we screen against (OFAC and UN publications) is public government data, not personal data we collect about you. It is used solely to compare against the names you submit for screening.
6. Data retention
Account and billing data are retained for as long as your account is active. Free-plan screening history is retained for 7 days; Pro-plan screening history and audit certificates are retained for the life of your account, or longer where needed to satisfy an audit trail you've relied on, unless you request deletion. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting hello@screen100.com, subject to any retention we are legally required to maintain.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls, and scoped API credentials — to protect account and screening data. No system is perfectly secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to keep API keys confidential.
8. Your choices
- Access, export, or delete your screening history from your account settings;
- Unsubscribe from non-essential email via the link in any marketing email;
- Configure or disable monitoring alerts per subject at any time;
- Request a copy of, or the deletion of, your personal data by contacting us.
9. International transfers
Our infrastructure providers may process data in jurisdictions other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for any such transfer.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the Service or by email to account holders.
11. Contact
